Welcome the New Year under sail<\/strong> – on board the CHRONOS<\/strong> in the middle of the dreamlike island world of the Caribbean! We start in Sainte Anne in the south of the island of Martinique, a French overseas department, and sail via Saint-Pierre, which is overlooked by the Montagne Pel\u00e9e volcano. We sail on to the natural island of Dominica, which is an independent state and still has individual populations of Caribbean natives, as well as a large number of endemic plants and animals. There are also sperm whales in a deep-sea trench off the island. which, with a bit of luck, can be seen from on board. The next destination is the \u00celes des Saintes, 7 islands that were mostly settled by Breton fishermen and politically belong to Guadeloupe.
