Horta on the island of Faial is the perfect starting point for your sailing adventure on the Azores. The international airport of Horta is easily accessible, with regular connections via Lisbon or other Portuguese cities. From there, you can quickly and easily reach our port, where your sailing trip begins. After an unforgettable trip, you can also land in Horta and start your return journey – with wonderful memories in your luggage.

WIND & Weather

In May, Azores is at its best: pleasant temperatures of around 16-20°C and a mild breeze make for ideal sailing conditions. The sea is still fresh, but perfect for exploring and enjoying. The islands are covered in lush greenery during this month and the often clear skies offer spectacular views of the impressive volcanic landscape and coastline. From Faial, you sail to São Jorge, an island known for its impressive cliffs and deep valleys. The landscape is largely untouched, and sailors can moor here in secluded bays and enjoy the tranquillity of nature. São Jorge is also famous for its “fajãs”, fertile plains at the foot of the cliffs that can only be reached via narrow paths.
