Sailing trip from/to Antigua
Antigua - Barbuda - St. Barth - Saba - (St. Kitts & Nevis) - Montserrat - Antigua
The unique natural harbors of English and Falmouth Harbour and the World Heritage Site Nelsons Dockyard in the south of the island have always been the “hot spot” for sailors in the Caribbean. But also 365 beaches and beautiful nature, e.g. along the Fig Tree Road make Antigua an ideal spot for a very relaxed trip around this island and to the neighboring island of Barbuda.
The Inside Passage within the coral reef to Five Island Bay on the leeward side in the west and the winding entrance to Nonsuch Bay on the windward side, where we anchor behind the reef for swimming and snorkeling, are just two of the highlights. On the sparsely populated coral island of Barbuda, unique endless beaches await us, e.g. Low Bay, where there are many turtles. 14 km of beach without any people but with mother-of-pearl-colored shells that give the sand a pink touch. And then above all the unique frigate bird reserve, where many thousands of these birds nest in the mangroves.
All this combined with great sailing in the trade winds, where you can almost always see flying fish, pelicans and sometimes even humpback whales. This is pure Caribbean.
Last but not least, Antigua can be reached by direct flight with Condor from Frankfurt Airport…and for hotel stays we recommend the historic Admirals Inn in Nelson’s Dockyard!

Wind and weather forecast
The best time to travel to the Caribbean is between December and April – ideal for soaking up the sun in winter. It is then tropically warm with water temperatures of 24-26°C and air temperatures of 24-30°C – occasionally there are short tropical rain showers. The constant trade winds ensure perfect sailing conditions.
