The wildly romantic 55-kilometre-long north-east coast of Sardinia rightly bears the illustrious name Costa Smeralda. The Emerald Coast is famous for its white beaches, bizarre cliffs, dreamy bays with granite rocks sculpted by the wind and, above all, for the emerald-green shimmering sea in the sun. It is one of the most popular sailing areas in the Mediterranean Sea. We sail via Palau to the La Maddalena archipelago, now a national park on and under the water. The entrance to Bonifacio on the south coast of Corsica is a highlight: the ship glides through a natural, fjord-like inlet between high chalk cliffs. A citadel crowns the town, which lies 60 meters high on a plateau. A sailing trip for connoisseurs, with plenty of time for swimming and snorkeling directly from the ship.

You can travel from major airports and with the usual airlines. If you want to travel in a more climate-friendly way, you can check the options by train or ferry.
The cruise price includes: Costs for the nautical crew and service, accommodation on board in the booked category, sea transportation, full board on board / one dinner per week to explore the local cuisine at own expense, water, tea, filter coffee.
The price does not include: arrival and departure, transfers, soft drinks, Nespresso and alcoholic beverages, water sports on board, shore excursions and gratuities.
In summer it is (almost) always nice and warm – although it usually remains pleasant on board above the water – in spring and fall it is cooler, you sometimes need a sweater, and the weather is more changeable than in summer. The winds of the Mediterranean Sea are as diverse as the countries and can be very different depending on the region.
I'm still floating a little on the Italian cloud after the wonderful week on the Chronos and the following days in Sardinia...
