Beginner's course in the world of yacht construction

What we plan for you

An introductory course for anyone who wants to delve deeper into the world of yacht design. In a four to five-day course, Klaus Röder – who is also the designer of the boat you are traveling on – will teach you the basic principles of modern yacht design. On each day of the course, you can expect around two to three comprehensibly structured lessons in which you will be guided step by step through the design process of a yacht using illustrative examples. You will learn how lines, stability, structural design and practical requirements merge into a coherent overall concept.

There will also be plenty of room for personal discussions outside of the teaching times: take the opportunity to discuss your own ideas, questions or visions directly with the expert.
Klaus Röder is a qualified boat builder and studied Yacht & Powercraft Design in Southampton. He has many years of experience working with various designers and engineers and has completed numerous projects for boat manufacturers and private clients.

The special feature: The course takes place parallel to the sailing trip. So you have plenty of time to relax, to enjoy your time at sea and on land – and to consciously experience a ship designed by the very person who is guiding you through the world of yacht design. Inspiration is guaranteed and tangible.

Let us know if such an offer is of interest to you. What would you want from such a course? Do you already have previous knowledge? Would you come alone or in pairs?

We look forward to receiving a short message at info@sailing-classics.com.
