The journey continues to Sibenik, a city that delights with its medieval architecture and the impressive Cathedral of St. James. The journey continues to the wildly romantic Dugi Otok, an island full of untouched nature, hidden bays and breathtaking views of the clear, azure waters. Finally, you return to Trogir and end this unforgettable sailing tour along the Dalmatian coast – a paradise for sailors and nature lovers alike!
Every sailing trip follows the conditions of nature. The itinerary shown is a non-binding orientation and can change depending on wind and weather.
Make your own way to Trogir. This charming little coastal town is the ideal starting point for your voyage. If you arrive a little early, there is time to wander through the UNESCO-listed old town – a labyrinth of Romanesque churches, Venetian palaces and narrow lanes. At around 6 pm the crew of KAIRÓS welcomes you on board. Over a welcome drink and your first dinner together, you get to know your fellow travellers and the crew and settle into a varied week of sailing.
After breakfast it’s time to cast off. KAIRÓS heads southeast along the coast, past the Bay of Kaštela. A light maestral from the northwest builds towards midday – perfect conditions for setting the sails.
Primošten comes into view in the early afternoon: a picturesque peninsula that rises from the sea like a mushroom of stone. There is time to explore the village with its steep lanes and the church of Sv. Juraj on the hilltop.
After a walk ashore and breakfast, we continue towards Šibenik. On the way we anchor in a sheltered bay for a swimming stop. We then sail on along the coast and enjoy lunch on board. In the afternoon we reach the Šibenik area and spend the evening in a quiet anchorage near the town.
After breakfast we explore the Šibenik Channel and the impressive river landscape. Along the way we pass oyster farms and discover a floating market. The afternoon is all about swimming, relaxing and enjoying the unique scenery. We spend the evening at anchor in an idyllic bay.
In the morning we leave the Šibenik region and set a course for Dugi Otok. The route leads through the fascinating island world of northern Dalmatia with its countless small islands and reefs. We sail long stretches and enjoy lunch at sea. In the afternoon we reach Dugi Otok, where we anchor in a sheltered bay. A long swimming stop and dinner on board round off the day.
The day begins with a walk ashore and a refreshing swim in crystal-clear water. We then sail along the coast of Dugi Otok and through the impressive island world of the Kornati. You enjoy spectacular views of the barren rocky landscapes and the deep blue sea. Several swimming stops offer a chance to cool off before we spend the evening in a quiet bay.
After breakfast we weigh anchor and begin the return journey towards Trogir. A strong breeze brings excellent sailing conditions and a perfect day under sail. After a final swimming stop, we sail along the Dalmatian coast back towards Trogir. In the evening the traditional Captain’s Dinner takes place. In high spirits, with plenty of conversation and a look back at the highlights of the week, we slowly bid farewell to our voyage together.
After a final breakfast on deck, you disembark in Trogir. Make your own way home or extend your stay in Croatia.
