The one-week sailing trip through the Aegean Sea (from Nafplio to Santorini), accompanied by Wolfgang Lechner, combines relaxed sailing with high-quality cultural and culinary moments. Along the way, we visit selected islands and places steeped in history, where Greece’s past and present come alive.
A highlight is the excursion to the winery on Milos – an authentic insight into the world of Greek wine.
On Spetses, the program includes a visit to the Bouboulina Museum, which impressively documents the life and work of the famous captain and freedom fighter. In this way, the history of the Greek struggle for independence can be experienced directly and fits in with the overall cultural theme of the trip.
On board, Wolfgang Lechner deepens the impressions with three accompanying lectures: “Greeks and Turks: 1000 years of a difficult neighborhood”, “The woman Alexis Sorbas dreamed of: Bouboulina, captain and freedom fighter” and “Greek wine. The cultural history of a very special drink”. The result is a week that ideally combines sailing, relaxation, culinary discoveries and in-depth background information.

In summer it is (almost) always nice and warm – although it usually remains pleasant on board above the water – in spring and fall it is cooler, you sometimes need a sweater, and the weather is more changeable than in summer. The winds of the Mediterranean Sea are as diverse as the countries and can be very different depending on the region.
All of it was fantastic and it has been the most relaxing week away my partner and I have ever had. I can completely understand why customers become hooked... It's been life changing for us both and is something we would absolutely love to do again.
